10 Verses to Help You Trust God in Difficult Times

There is so much going on around the world right now with the coronavirus (covid-19) and many people are panicking, fearful, anxious, frustrated and the list goes on.

However, in times like these, I am thankful that we serve an Eternal God who does not change even though our life circumstances may change and become difficult. In times like these, we need to trust God more than ever before and decide to activate our faith. Over the next few days and weeks, I would be sharing tons of encouragement material to build your faith during this season. Today, I would like to encourage you with 10 Verses to Help You Trust God in Difficult/Trying Times.

1. Deuteronomy 31:6 (NIV)

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.”

2. Psalm 16:8 (NIV)

I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With Him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

3. Psalm 40:1-2 (NIV)

I waited patiently for the Lord; He turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.

4. Psalm 91:1-2 (NIV)

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”

5. Psalm 91:11 (NIV)

For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;

6. Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.

7. Isaiah 41:10 (NIV)

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

8. Luke 18:27 (NIV)

Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.”

9. Romans 8:28 (NIV)

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to His purpose.

10. Philippians 4:19 (NIV)

And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
