Matthew 6:25- 30 (New International Version)
- “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?
- Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
- Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
- “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.
- But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
- Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
The above scriptures stresses on the point “we should not worry.” Once we leave everything in God’s hands, we can rest assured that he will work things out on our behalf. Life is filled with so many obstacles, problems, disappointments, trials etc. and it may be very easy to worry at times. As human beings, we worry about all sorts of issues – varying from health issues to financial problems, problems in the home or on the job; and the list goes on.
I want to remind and reassure you according to the above passage; that our heavenly father knows that we have need of certain things. Yes he knows us; he knows our names; he knows everything about us. Therefore, he knows our needs. He knows all about the trials we are going through. He also knows that they are not going to last always. He knows that as much as possible, we would prefer not to have these problems.
I encourage you to seek God first. Seek God first above all things and do not worry. Do not be anxious but seek the kingdom of God first and his righteousness and you will receive your reward in due time.
A PRAYER FOR YOU
Father, there are so many obstacles in my life. Some mountains are so hard to climb and Lord the valleys are so hard to go through. But God, I choose to seek you first above all things. I choose not to worry; instead I cast all my cares upon you, I lay my burdens down and I leave everything in your hands. In Jesus name. Amen.

Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its’ own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. {Matthew 6:34 NKJV}
