Taking Christ to Our Communities

Hi Friends, I am sharing with you the below article that I wrote for the International Destiny Conference 2022, hosted by the Destiny Ministers Network (DMN). I serve as one of the Caribbean Representatives for the DMN. The conference was held from August 2nd – 7th 2022 in Beltsville, Maryland, USA. The article appeared in the conference booklet.

Topic: Taking Christ to Our Communities

Sub-topic: No Place Off-Limit

As I write this article, I am mindful of the fact that some persons would never step foot in a church or attend a church event. That is why I believe it is crucial that we take Christ to them because as believers, it is our responsibility to do so. I love this song that Bishop Marvin Winans wrote over forty (40) years ago entitled “Who’s Gonna Tell Them?” The lyrics go like this:

“Who’s gonna tell them, Jesus loves them? Who’s gonna tell them, there’s a better way? Who’s gonna warn them, of the saints coming on them? So, God can turn their night to day. Somebody’s gotta warn them. Somebody’s gotta tell them.”

So, I ask the question, my brother, will it be you? My sister, will it be you? Will you tell them? Will you tell the person on the street, the lady pushing her baby in a stroller, the taxi driver, the children playing, the vendor, the jogger? Will you take Christ into your community? Will you introduce Christ to the persons in your sphere of influence? Will you take up the challenge to take Christ to your community in these critical times we are living in?

I believe no place should be off limit. Remember, we need to have dominion over the earth according to Genesis 1:26 (KJV) “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” We need to establish ourselves on the seven (7) mountains of influence.

Let us take Christ to work, the streets, the schools, the college, the grocery store, in the bars, the beauty salon, the mechanic shop, in the government. Let us take Christ to the old, young, sick, dying, hurting, depressed, happy. Again, I stress, there should be no place off-limit! I believe that we have been strategically positioned in the earth for such a time as this. Moses was called for his time; Esther was for her time and Paul was for his time. This is our time to “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16 KJV)

My brothers and sisters let us shine our lights by taking Christ into our communities in the USA, UK, Africa, Caribbean and all over the world! Let us get trained and equipped and if you are not sure, this conference is a great place to start! Let us leave this conference and put what we learned into practice by taking Christ into our communities, reach persons and make an impact for the glory of God. Let us start a revolution! Let us make Christ viral! As you take Christ, be
